I have been waiting for this station in 'O' for a while. This is Engine 42's old house located at 228 W. Illinois in Chicago. The building was built in 1887 however Engine 42 did not move in until March of 1888, they shared this station with Squad 1. The era of my picture would be 1963 when the Squad moved in. The station was closed in 1968, however is privately owned an restored to look like it did in it's heyday. In the picture you will see Fire Replicas Squad, Corgi Mack L Engine, First response replicas 50 ford (Thanks Rich), and the building is a kit from Twin Whistle.
