Hi this was a little side project that i did over the last few weeks.
I allways liked this type of rescue truck since i saw it the first time. The modell features the origin graphics and paint scheme and also the execution is flawless!
But beeing part of the first releases of code 3,  the overall appearance, compared to the later releases, bothered me since then.

Originally i wanted to keep my Rescue 3 truck as it was. But as i moved it to my new display cabinet, I accidently let it drop. It felt directly onto the left rear emergency light, which broke!

While searching for a replacement, i also thought of refurbishing the whole model. Cause of the damage the truck wasnīt original anymore.
So thatīs what i came up with! I like it a lot, hope you enjoy it too!

And now some before and after pictures. All hinges of the side compartments and doors where added with chrome foil to seperate them from the paint and create a 3 dimensional look. The window frames and the wheel arches where painted black. The, not transparent, former paint of the beacons was reomoved and repainted with transparent red paint and chrome foil was placed behind them.

The light boom was shortened and the cover, as on the original rig, was put on as well.

And the major part of the whole project. The front grill as well as the bumper grating was added with chrome foil and painted; All head lights, emergency lights and indicators where added with chrome foil and acrylic gemstones where put in for a 3 dimensional look. I also extended the reflective stripes until the headlights, as on the real truck (free handed, as it shows :-(!!).

For the rear section i also painted the brake lights and rear emergencs lights transparent, painted the window frames black and added silver paint to the rear light frames.

Nice refurb Shocked  I really like the front of the truck, it looks so much better then it did before. I like the job you did on the headlights and the arrow board, over all the whole truck gets a  A+ grade. Grin

Well after a very long, forced break, i finally finished this one!!!

To keep it short, first my computer broke down (all finished decals were gone, since i havenīt saved them on my external hard disc!). Getting new computer, creating the decals again, with different program,....like learning to walk again!!!

Anyway itīs DONE!!!!

So hope you enjoy it.

P.S. sorry for the bad pictures :-(
