Hello everyone, long time since I stopped by. Our marketing manager Allie just wrote this up.
"Target is behind the wheel for GreenLight’s 1:64 Hot Pursuit Series 4 The fourth series of 1:64 Hot Pursuit will be available at Target Stores.
Indianapolis, IN (July 6, 2010) GreenLight’s newest release of 1:64 Hot Pursuit is a double debut, with Series Four making its way to the public as well as the re-introduction of Target to the list of GreenLight Mass Market Outlets. This 1:64 Hot Pursuit line has kicked opened the doors of a business relationship, creating yet another channel that the collectors can use to fuel their GreenLight demand.
1:64 Hot Pursuit was chosen to jump start GreenLight’s representation at Target from its ability to transcend so many different categories of collecting. Hot Pursuit illustrates American Pride, power, stability and the personal memories made by the collectors themselves. Accompanying these intriguing factors, Hot Pursuit performs as a major seller and from the success of past series; this is a trend that will remain strong and proud.
The cars chosen for 1:64 Hot Pursuit Series 4 were handpicked for success, including larger police departments that will ensure a substantial base of invested interest as well as a diverse representation of the nation. These cars are a force to be reckoned with, and the only warning you get is these Hot Items will not last long!
This six car series includes:
-1:64 1991 Ford Mustang Wisconsin State Patrol -1:64 2008 Dodge Charger Florida Highway Patrol -1:64 2008 Dodge Charger Iowa State Patrol -1:64 2008 Crown Victoria (White) Indiana State Police -1:64 2008 Crown Victoria Virginia State Police -1:64 2009 Dodge Challenger Broward County, Florida Sherriff
These die-cast replicas feature opening hoods, detailed engines, real rubber tires, metal body and chassis, detailed graphics, custom license plates and are officially licensed by the respective automobile companies. Quantities are limited to 7500 units of each car and will be available at Target stores August 2010."

Thanks for the update. The Mustang is definitely going to be a hit with me. I hope we see it in blank white for customs. We also need CHP and TX DPS. I do think we have got the VA Sp covered for now.

I just found the entire set this morning at work. I picked up two 91 mustangs. They are sweet! The headlights and tail lights are removable. That will make changing paint jobs easy and no more painting headlights.

After reading these post I ran to Target here in North New Jersey. The first one had 1 complete set and almost had a second minus Virginia and Florida. The second Target had nothing so I headed to another and cleaned them out of Virginia, Florida and Indiana. Wound up with 2+ complete sets. They are selling for $4.29 each. Another great job by Greenlight.

Ok, here is a question for everyone. I went to Target today and found all the series 4 cars. The first Virginia car I picked up was strange. The picture on the package showed the Virginia SP Blue over Silver car but the car in the bubble pack was a Virginia SP FCV but it is painted dark blue over emerald green. I can't find one painted like that anywhere. Anyone have a clue. See pics

You've stumbled upon one of the rare "Green Machines" that they include in each run. The numbers produced are quite limited and definitely of some additional value. No clue how many they make.

SCUBA, I'll give you 5 bucks for the green car!!
Here is some info on Green Machines from the GL Forums. Looks like 2% of the run (of each car) will be a Green Machine. There are supposed to be 7,500 of each car in HP Series 4, so 150 of each car will be a Green Machine - great find!!
As a GL dealer, when I have received full cases of past HP series cars (series #1 and #2), 1 car in a master of 48 cars has been a Green Machine - it varies from case to case which department you get. Kind of messes up selling full sets of cars, but as the Green machines are quite rare, it isn't that bad a deal! Jeff @ www.policecarmodels.com When I started at GreenLight, one of the first things I wanted to know was what is a Green Machine chase car? Production Manager Matt Elliott’s been creating these for over two years, so I asked him. First, he told me that only two percent of the cars from each production run are Green Machine versions. GreenLight includes them in every scale it produces: 1:64, 1:24, and 1:18. To put that in perspective, if GreenLight runs 5,000 pieces of a blue 1:64-scale 1964 Plymouth Fury, 100 of those will be Green Machines. Look for the following traits. Note that GreenLight-Green™ is a brilliant emerald-green metallic paint. 1) GreenLight-Green Body 2) GreenLight-Green Chassis 3) GreenLight-Green Rims 4) GreenLight-Green Interior 5) Green Tires A Green Machine can have one of these features, and occasionally a combination. We hope the variety makes them harder for non-collectors to spot, and easier for them to get into your hands!
