These photos depict the new lights under development, all 16 of them spanning a wide range of eras and types.
Most, not all, I photographed myself, from the PSP fleet garage, a DSP Barrack, the ISP Museum and in some cases, many years ago on cars just in case I'd ever needed them. Plus, a few individuals such as Troy who, provided excellent photos of a Twinsonic on a restored SDPD unit and assistance from Rich Krom. For most I have a definitve identification. These are being created for the Impala,Tahoe and Diplomat spread throughout the tooling where ever they"ll fit. It's my hope all will make it to production.
These were selected, especially the older ones, for planned Diplomat versions needing specific lights. The modern selections were based on several considerations. First, from IACP I saw the emerging trends in lighting on display and from manufacturers literature. Secondly, I visited Kerr Industries in Oshawa, Canada where Impalas coming from the nearby GM factory are upfitted and saw what's actually being installed. Third, from suggestions offered by participants of this and other forums who posted photos of older lighting equipment. It was a joint effort.
Before someone asks why didn't you create this or that, tooling isn't cheap and 16 new lights isn't bad. Combined with our existing 5 lights that's 21 total.

If available individually, I'll be getting a number of at least 6 types shown here(don't need anything with blue). Now if I could find them in 1/50 & 1/32......

"16 new lights isn't bad..." You're wrong Dennis...16 new lights is FANTASTIC!!!! You may not have made every light possible, but you sure as heck have covered the waterfront and then some!!! I can't wait until these start appearing, as they will onviously all lend themselves to many other non-police uses. Keep up the GREAT work!!!

I for one, can't wait for the old Whelen strobe bar, 5000 and 5200 series single strobes, Federal Twin Sonic and 184 beacon. Outstanding work Dennis, thanks!! Man, if someone only made those same varieties in 1/18, just imagine what you could do with the Ertl Monacos!!

Uh oh, between the Raydian and Justice I can barely control myself, if these are anything like the Liberty and Arjent bars, they will pop up on a lot of my fire trucks.
Thanks Dennis!

Yes, they'll be available as our other lights are, probably in packs of three each. I wish we had the capacity to tool them in other scales. I've been asked for them from 1/64th up to 1/18th. But, the reality is it isn't cost effective to create the expensive tooling to make them unless we have a car that scale to put them on. We'd never recoup the tens of thousands of dollars in tooling to make other scales just selling them individually. The reason we can create and offer the 1/43 parts is that there're actually intended for our finished models. But, since the tooling exists it's kind of a no brainer to run extra injects and offer the parts separately to the hobby.

And yet other makers can't see this logic!!
