Wow I'm not into collecting police cars anymore, but that looks really cool, assuming the detail itself doesn't change any from now until then, this is going to be a winner I think.
Trav!
It does look extremely nice... just some
minor things for the folks at Ertl to consider (not that they will ever read this

):
The roof cross-bar and beacon bases should be chrome plated (I'm hoping that with the model pictured they just didn't have a mocked-up set in chrome yet. I'm pleased to see they didn't go with the complete "Mt. Prospect" set up like they did on the "Hazzard County" version which included the "soup can" lights on either side of the siren speaker). The beacons and speaker appear to be similar in size/model that NYSP utilized.
If they're in fact replicating the restored '74, the license plate style is correct;

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ronnie125/4112699229/I'm not going to sweat the lack of a vent window or the improper turn signal indicators on the tops of the front fenders (not generally seen on the standard police package Monaco's at the time - you did see them on A38 versions - but not on NYSP Monacos). I can live with little things like that.
