Hard as it may seem to believe, after some 10-12 years of buffing parades, wetdowns and plain ol' apparatus photography in general, I have never shot a single photo of an actual in-service FDNY apparatus.

Until today!

Ladies and gentlemen.....I present, for your viewing pleasure, FDNY Engine 43, the "Sedgwick Slashers" from Da Bronx.   Perhaps Code 3 will take an interest in this rig, with it's unique stripe scheme, for possible consideration once the Marauder IIs come to fruition.   That, and many of the other ones with "unique" numbers and graphics, in addition to the plethora of regular ones we'll no doubt see.

I would buy that one in 1/64 and in 1/32. Hmmm wishful thinking.

You should absolutely forward that picture & suggestion to Code 3. I really like the paint scheme & changes.

63 Engine has the numbers done up like that as well, along with a few other touches. Saw 43 up close the other day. Looks nice.
PS, the next time you wanna buff, reach out. I'll do an out and about with you down here.
