“As a young firefighter assigned to Engine 31 I was taught by some of the finest firefighters in the department. My memories of those early years in the department and the friendships that still are part of my life have been brought to life by the beautiful replica of the first FDNY apparatus that took me to my first fire. I couldn't be more appreciative to Code 3 for the care and compassion that they have shown to me in creating Engine 31.”
